Description: On or about September 23, 2009, NYPD officers got involved in a criminal scheme, which a co-defendant had initiated against her business partner, Plaintiff 1, and three legal entities, Plaintiffs 2-4, with which Plaintiff 1 was associated. The scheme involved fraud, embezzlement, conversion, and other criminal activities. Active or retired NYPD officers – Farije Tonuzi-Sheridan, Juan Tejera, James Grant, Ann Guerin, Hanna Tonuzi Alvarez, Frank Alvarez, Joseph Trischitta, Marco Venezia, and William Masso – assisted in the scheme by committing various unlawful acts.
