Description: On December 20, 2022, the Plaintiff was engaged in conversation with Defendants Agent John Woods, a revenue collector for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and his co-worker L. Yingsheng, an equipment maintainer, on the subway. Conversation between the three continued as they exited the subway. While at the subway station, Defendant Woods drew his firearm and shot Plaintiff in the chest without legal justification. Plaintiff was unarmed and did not attack the other two. Plaintiff was critically injured in the liver and pancreas due to the shooting and was surgically operated on and remained in the hospital for 22 days, until January 12, 2023.
