Description: On January 27, 2012, defendants entered plaintiff's apartment and observed plaintiff using a stolen laptop, which defendants had tracked to plaintiff's apartment through use of the computer's GPS function. Defendants thereafter placed plaintiff under arrest and transported him to a nearby precinct. At the precinct, plaintiff was interrogated for over 16 hours, and was denied medical assistance for his many conditions. Plaintiff was subsequently transported to the hospital and charged with several counts of burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.

Description: On March 26, 2012, plaintiff was falsely arrested and accused of grand larceny by Det. Gregory Thornton. Det. Thornton claims he was informed by an unidentified witness that informed NYPD that plaintiff had stolen his bike. Det. Thornton further states that another witness had informed Det. Davis that plaintiff had similarly stolen their bike. Officers had not received identifying information connecting plaintiff to the bike thefts, and they do not state that the witnesses identified plaintiff as the man that took the bikes. The charges were dismissed in plaintiff's favor on January 24, 2013.
