Description: On July 3, 2019, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of Oak Point Avenue and Halleck Street, Bronx, when defendant police officers, without any probable cause or legal justification, approached plaintiff for no reason other than plaintiff's race and summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained him in an excessive manner. Plaintiff was handcuffed and arrested. While in custody, plaintiff was strip-searched, and during arraignment plaintiff was falsely prosecuted with committing a crime. All charges against plaintiff were eventually terminated in his favor. As a result of defendants' actions, plaintiff sustained severe physical injuries and emotional trauma.

Description: On or about March 29, 2019 at about 12:30am, Plaintiff, who had arrived earlier in the Bronx to stay at a friend's house for the weekend from Georgia, was stopped by members of the Defendant New York Police Department at Foley Street and 165th Street. Plaintiff was informed that he was pulled over for not having a license plate light and was incidentally questioned by the officers. Plaintiff fully cooperated during questioning and truthfully answered all their questions. When officers asked Plaintiff if he had any weapons in the car, he responded that he had brought his registered weapon with him from Georgia and that it was either in one of the bags in the car or one of the bags that had already been taken out...
