Description: On July 5, 2011, plaintiff was sitting in the drivers seat of his cab, parked in the designated taxi stand at the Loews Regency Hotel on Park Avenue, in Manhattan, NY. Defendant Wilson approached and started writing plaintiff a ticket. Wilson threw the ticket in the backseat of the cab, and when plaintiff exited the vehicle to investigate, he was punched in the face. Several other cab drivers witnessed the incident and flagged down other officers. Plaintiff was taken to and treated for his injuries at NY Presbyterian Hospital. At the hospital, defendant Wickert arrested plaintiff. Plaintiff was held in police custody for 24 hours before being arraigned in NYC Criminal Court. Plaintiff was released without bail...
