Description: On September 9, 2011, Plaintiff Vernice Ladlee was arrested by police who were investigating her son who was threatening to kill himself. When the arresting officers used force on Plaintiff's son, Plaintiff resolved to record the incident. Subsequently, Plaintiff herself was unlawfully searched, falsely arrested, placed in tight handcuffs, and maliciously prosecuted in an abuse of process, specifically substantiated by Defendant NYPD Officer Koren Stewart.
