Description: On February 20, 2015, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Nana Barnes was exiting a bodega near Popeye's at 92-15 Parsons Boulevard in Queens when NYPD Officers Samantha Gill and Officer Lane approached him without justification. Officer Lane searched Mr. Barnes, but no drugs, weapons, or contraband were found. Despite no evidence of wrongdoing or probable cause, the officers arrested Mr. Barnes, handcuffed him, and transported him to the 103rd Precinct. He was detained for several hours before being taken to Queens County Central Booking.
