Description: On July 18, 2013, Plaintiff was lawfully present in the vicinity of 2324 Pitkin Avenue in Brooklyn, where he suffered a medical emergency. EMS Paramedic Peter Wilken and NYPD Officer Carlos Guadalupe responded to the scene. Plaintiff was assaulted, attacked, beaten, and battered by the paramedic and officer. Plaintiff was kicked and struck in his legs, body, and head with closed fists, dangerous objects, and rigid shoes. Plaintiff was handcuffed excessively tightly and unlawfully arrested. Plaintiff was taken to the hospital, then to the 75th Precinct, then to Central Booking. Plaintiff was incarcerated for approximately 40 days.
