Description: On March 22, 2018, employees of a charter school reported to the NYPD that the plaintiff sent a text message to another staff member saying, "If I get fired on Friday, I want to make sure that the whole building burns." On April 10, 2018, the plaintiff was arrested for aggravated harassment and falsely reporting an incident. However, the NYPD should have known that the arrest was illegal because in 2014 the Court of Appeals held the aggravated Harassment statute to be unconstitutional. There was no immediate threat made by the plaintiff.

Description: On October 2, 2016, plaintiff was in front of an apartment when, through a process of racial profiling, he was approached by defendant P.O.s Martinez and McClain. Defendants proceed to assault plaintiff and arrest him. Plaintiff was then taken to the precinct. Plaintiff had to seek medical attention as a result of the excessive force used by defendants.
