Description: On April 5, 2023, Plaintiff was in the vicinity of a residence when Defendant POs Murphy and Doe 1-10 unlawfully stopped, detained, battered and assaulted, seized and searched, and falsely arrested Plaintiff. Defendant POs never observed Plaintiff commit a crime or offense and instead targeted Plaintiff, a Black man, because of his race, color, ethnicity, or national origin. Defendant POs aggressively grabbed at and searched Plaintiff's body before placing handcuffs in an excessively tight fashion. Defendants ignored Plaintiff's request that the handcuffs be loosened. Plaintiff was interrogated without being Mirandized and was detained for approximately 25 hours prior to release following arraignment.
