Description: On February 9, 2018, Plaintiff was unlawfully stopped, questioned, frisked, searched, and arrested by Defendant officers while lawfully present in front of 2511 Newkirk Avenue in Brooklyn without probable cause. Plaintiff was handcuffed, taken to the 67th Precinct, and later transported to Brooklyn Central Booking, where he was detained for approximately 26 hours before arraignment. Defendant officers falsely claimed that Plaintiff had participated in a drug sale, leading to charges of Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the Third Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. All charges were dismissed on September 11, 2018, by motion of the DA’s office.
