Description: On May 19, 2018, in the Bronx, defendants, NYPD Officers CHRISTINE JOACHIM and JOHN or JANE DOE 1-10, unlawfully arrested and detained Plaintiff Pedro Martinez, subsequently charged him with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and thereafter wrongfully incarcerated the Plaintiff over the course of two (2) days or approximately thirty-six (36) hours, during which time he was maliciously prosecuted, until the dismissal of all charges on September 13, 2018. On the date, time, and location of the arrest, Mr. Martinez was a passenger in a vehicle, seated in the back-passenger seat, that the driver of said vehichle had pulled over to refill on gas.
