Description: Before the incident date, defendants were investigating a number of commercial robberies in Bedford Stuyvesant, Kings County in April 2015. On the incident date, the plaintiff was arrested, imprisoned, and later gave a false and coerced written confession. Defendant Det. Montas told the plaintiff that he would get shot unless he wrote a confession under Montas' guidance. This confession led to the plaintiff's unlawful arrest. The plaintiff was acquitted of all charges after 17 months in jail.

Description: On March 29, 2012, plaintiff was lawfully within her rented room located on Dumont Ave, in Brooklyn, NY. Plaintiff and her boyfriend were the only people in her bedroom at that time. There was a lock on the bedroom door. They heard loud banging on the bedroom door and plaintiff opened the door. Police, including the defendants, dressed in riot gear with large guns and Kevlar vests, burst into the room. Defendants ordered plaintiff to get down to the ground and she complied. Plaintiff was handcuffed, arrested and taken to the police precinct. At the precinct, officers falsely informed the Kings County DA they observed plaintiff in possession of cocaine, a weapon and marijuana.

Description: On or about April 14, 2012, Plaintiffs were sitting on a porch. Police officers, including Defendants Montas, Gonzalez, and Grillo, approached the porch and searched Plaintiffs' persons. The officers then detained Plaintiffs while they searched the porch. Defendants found no contraband on Plaintiffs or the porch. However, they arrested Plaintiffs and transported them to a precinct by a police van.
