Description: On June 3, 2020, Plaintiff was participating in a peaceful protest against police brutality when NYPD officers approached the group of protestors with large shields. The NYPD did not give any orders to disperse. Defendant Police Officer Joseph Ryder suddenly, without warning, grabbed Plaintiff and threw her to the ground. Plaintiff landed on her head and Defendant Ryde and Defendant Police Officers Does #104 pinned Plaintiff's arms and legs to the ground. One Defendant repeatedly slammed Plaintiff's head into the ground, smashing Plaintiff's eyeglasses and scraping her face. Defendants placed a knee on Plaintiff's left ear.
