Description: On August 12, 2018, Branden Cullins was near Findlay Avenue and East 166th Street in the Bronx when he was approached by Officers James Garcia, John Doe, and John Roe of the NYPD. Without probable cause, the officers arrested Cullins and subjected him to physical force. He was falsely imprisoned, strip-searched, and held in custody for over 24 hours before facing criminal charges. These charges were eventually dismissed after multiple court appearances. As a result of the incident, Cullins sustained physical injuries and suffered significant emotional distress.
