Description: On or about November 28, 2021, Plaintiff 1, a diabetic and a dialysis patient, was driving in Manhattan with his six year old daughter, Plaintiff 2. During the drive, Plaintiff 1 started to feel light-headed. He parked his car and then passed out in a diabetic coma. PO Polanco (at the time of the complaint, Plaintiff 1 believed “Polanco” to be the name of one of the NYPD officers who arrested him; he was not certain), PO John Doe 1, and potentially other police officers, approached Plaintiff’s car. Description: On August 21, 2020, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Plaintiff, while lawfully inside the building at 475 West 186 Street, was subject to an unlawful stop, question, frisk, search, false arrest, excessive force, and false imprisonment by the defendant Officers Oscar Polanco, Benjamin Paley and others (together the "defendants"). Plaintiff was there with his friend who lawfully resided in the building at the time and they were going to see the friend's father. Plaintiff suffered injuries to his body, face and to his wrists, as well as mental and emotional injury.
