Description: In April 22, 2020, Plaintiff Joseph Brown-Arkah was approached and was assaulted and battered by Defendants Police Officer Minoska Rodriguez, Lashonda Porterfield, and John and Jane Does. The assault and battery consisted of being grabbed, pulled out of the vehicle, thrown to the ground and then struck with knees to his face and thereafter was forcefully placed in handcuffs. Plaintiff was falsely arrested and taken to the 73rd Precinct where he was held in a holding cell for a period of time before being transferred to Kings County Central Booking and being held until his release out a back door without seeing a judge after the charges were dismissed and without being charged with a crime on the same day.
