Upon being interviewed by CCRB, [redacted] stated that he was driving with [redacted] when they were stopped by three plainclothes officers, later identified as Sergeant Patelli, PO Crisfield and PO Sean Lynch. The officers allegedly searched [redacted] vehicle. When a bag of alleged narcotics was recovered and [redacted] denied owning it, one of the officers allegedly used discourteous language toward him. [redacted] and [redacted] were subsequently arrested and transported to the precinct.
[redacted] alleged that at the precinct, PO Crisfield and Sergeant Patelli escorted him to the bathroom and ordered him to remove his clothes. He added that after he pulled down his pants, one of the officers attempted to insert an unidentified object into his rectum. [redacted] began struggling, at which point the officers used physical force and pepper spray against him. The physical altercation resulted in both [redacted] and Sergeant Patelli requiring medical treatment.
