On February 8, 2003, [redacted] who was [redacted] pregnant, went to a gas station at [redacted] in the Bronx at approximately 12:30 AM. [redacted] was accompanied by her [redacted] son. [redacted] became involved in a dispute with the gas station attendant, and the police were called. Police Officers Trevor Dennin, Daniel Barahona, Michael McHugh and Fadila Metanovic of the 47th Precinct responded to the scene. The officers told [redacted] to leave the scene, but she refused. Officer Dennin began to arrest [redacted] and she resisted arrest. Officer Dennin brought [redacted] forcibly to the ground on her stomach and she was handcuffed on the ground. She was then transported to the 47th Precinct, where she was issued a summons [redacted]. Her son was not taken into custody, and went home on his own. Two days later, [redacted] called the CCRB to file a complaint. She complained that Officer Dennin had used excessive force and that the officers should not have left her son alone at the scene.
