On April 10, 2007, at approximately 10:00PM, [redacted] parked his car, which he left running, in front of 310 East 112th Street between First and Second Avenue in Manhattan. As [redacted] exited a nearby store, a Hispanic man he later learned to be a police officer approached him. [redacted] noticed a gun on the man's waist and immediately ran, believing that he was about to be robbed. [redacted] as he curled up defensively [redacted] Four officers allegedly began punching and kicking [redacted].
The top of [redacted] Is head was exposed and he allegedly felt repeated blows striking him there (allegation G). An officer allegedly struck [redacted] on his left elbow with what he surmised was a radio, which allegedly caused a gash (allegation H). This officer remains unidentified. The officers then placed [redacted] in handcuffs, at which point [redacted] realized that the men were police officers. An officer allegedly dragged [redacted] by his jacket, causing his palms to scrape on the ground (allegation G). This officer remains unidentified. [redacted] was transported to the 23rd Precinct, where he was questioned by officers. [redacted] allegedly asked one of the officers from the scene for medical attention while at the stationhouse, but medical attention was not provided (allegation I).
