Summary

On June 9, 2007, [redacted] borrowed the car from his sister [redacted]. His sister did not report the car stolen. [redacted] was hanging out with his friend, whom he believed to be [redacted] During the course of the investigation, it was determine by police documents that individual whom [redacted] believed to be [redacted] was [redacted] The two men drove to [redacted] A female friend of [redacted] (name unknown) lives there. This is a private residence with a gated front yard. [redacted] parked his car in front of the house and went inside to change his clothes. [redacted] remained in the car watching a DVD on [redacted] s portable DVD player. The windows were down and [redacted] was alone in the car. Several of [redacted] s friends (names unknown) were hanging in front of the residence. [redacted] was inside changing his clothes when [redacted] friends came inside and said that the police were searching [redacted] s car and demanding to speak to the owner. [redacted] looked out of the window and saw that the police were there. [redacted] exited the apartment.
There were two uniformed officers in white shirts on the scene. The officers were driving an unmarked vehicle. [redacted] was standing next to [redacted] s car. PO1, a white male, approximately 6'1", with glasses, a possible moustache, dark hair, in his late 40s to early 50s, and muscular build, was already searching [redacted] s car. An officer who [redacted] described a white male, approximately 5'10", with no facial hair or glasses, a husky build, blond hair, in his late 40s to 50s, told [redacted] to go stand against the gate and not move. In a photo array [redacted] identified this officer as Lt. Cortright. [redacted] complied. Lt. Cortright searched [redacted] s pants pockets and removed his cell phone and his wallet. Lt.
