Summary

On September 22, 2007 slightly after midnight, there was a shooting on Bainbridge St. between Stuyvesant Ave. and Malcolm X Blvd. (also known as Reid Ave.). During this shooting, a vehicle was damaged and a 9mm pistol was discarded in the street by the perpetrators at this location. This pistol was recovered by police officers on Bainbridge St. between Stuyvesant Ave. and Malcolm X Blvd. later that morning.
Between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM an unknown male called the 81st Precinct Anti-crime office and spoke to Lt. Raymond Festino and then PO Michael Caldwell. The male allegedly reported seeing two males searching the area where the gun was recovered and two males sitting in a vehicle. Lt. Festino ordered PO William Waldron, PO Raymond Gonzalez and PO Francisco De Los Santos to respond to the location and to arrest the individuals searching for the gun if they matched the description provided by the male caller. (Allegation A) While this was happening at the 81st Precinct Stationhouse, [redacted] and [redacted] were on Bainbridge St. between Stuyvesant Ave. and Malcolm X Blvd. allegedly looking for a lost watch. [redacted] and [redacted] were inside [redacted] s vehicle which was parked on the side of the road waiting for [redacted] and [redacted] to finish looking for the watch.
The unknown male provided a detailed description of [redacted] and [redacted] to PO Caldwell. PO Caldwell stayed on the phone with the male caller and at the same time provided the description he received from the call to PO Waldron, PO Gonzalez and PO De Los Santos as they responded to the location. Once PO Waldron, PO Gonzalez and PO De Los Santos arrived at the location and saw [redacted] and [redacted] PO Caldwell ended his communication with them.
