Summary

On September 10, 2014, at approximately 10:30 a.m., [redacted] was driving his taxi on Bleecker Street in Manhattan with an unidentified passenger in the back seat. A small SUV and a van ran a red light at the intersection of Bleecker Street and 6th Avenue, where traffic was backed up into the intersection due to construction. PO Jonathan Oliveras, who was alone in an RMP, did not pull over either of these vehicles. [redacted]'s light turned green and he then drove in front of the SUV and the van, blocking their path. PO Oliveras pulled [redacted] over on the other side of 6th Avenue. [redacted] asked PO Oliveras why he ignored the cars that ran the red light and PO Oliveras asked him if he ever "studied in the academy." [redacted] who may have been speaking with a raised voice, said he did not need to study in any academy to see a car passing through a red light. PO Oliveras replied, "You want me to arrest you?" (Allegation A) [redacted] gave PO Oliveras his license and registration and PO Oliveras went back to the RMP. [redacted]'s customer expressed her support for [redacted] but was in a hurry, so she gave him her contact information and exited the taxi. Approximately ten to twenty minutes later, PO Oliveras returned to [redacted]'s taxi, threw [redacted]'s license and two summonses into his chest (Allegation B), and then walked back to his RMP. [redacted] exited his vehicle and walked to the RMP to ask PO Oliveras a question, PO Oliveras told [redacted] to "get the fuck out of here" (Allegation C) and then drove away.
