Summary

On March 7, 2014, at approximately 8 p.m., [redacted] was involved in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend [redacted] inside of [redacted] in Staten Island. [redacted] then exited the location and walked approximately six to seven houses down to [redacted]. He stated that his friend [redacted] lives at the location and a man that went by the moniker '[redacted]' was also present but he did not live there. After being at the location for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, he overheard knocking coming from [redacted] bedroom door. [redacted] instructed him not to open the door because he feared that [redacted] had sent over one of her friends to talk to him. The knocking lasted approximately two minutes before the door was kicked opened by an officer that [redacted] could not identify. Eight to twelve officers from the 120th Precinct then allegedly entered the location (Allegation A). The investigation was able to place four officers at the incident location. [redacted] stated that the officers handcuffed [redacted] and an unidentified individual that he referred to as '[redacted]' (Allegation B). Lt. Bekim Kalicovic who was a sergeant at the time of this incident, approached [redacted] as he was standing near a bed and allegedly grabbed around his neck with two hands and allegedly slammed him onto the bed and he landed on his stomach (Allegation C). PO Geovani Sanchez and PO John Wilkinson then entered the bedroom and allegedly punched [redacted] in the back of his head and on the left side of his face (Allegation D and E). [redacted] was then placed in handcuffs and Lt. Kalicovic allegedly took out his gun and applied it to [redacted]s glasses in order to lift them. Lt. Kalicovic allegedly stated, "I should shoot your black ass in the head right now. Where is your gun at?" (Allegations F, G and H). [redacted] alleged that Lt. Kalicovic, PO Sanchez and PO Wilkinson then lifted up the mattress off the bed and located a crack-pipe and marijuana (Allegation I). Read report for details.
