Summary

On May 29, 2016, at approximately 1:03 p.m., [redacted] called 911 to report that she had been sexually assaulted while she was sleeping at [redacted] in Brooklyn. PO Dupree James and PO Jose Vega of the 73rd Precinct responded to the scene. After speaking to [redacted] PO James and PO Vega called Sgt. Louis Martinez, also of the 73rd Precinct, to the scene. Sgt. Martinez arrived on the scene with his operator, PO Dominic Mallamaci. Sgt. Martinez spoke to PO James, PO Vega, shelter staff (including [redacted] and [redacted] who refused medical treatment. Sgt. Martinez then instructed PO James and PO Vega to send [redacted] to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation despite her refusals (Allegation A).
