Summary

On December 18, 2017, at approximately 12:52 p.m., [redacted] and [redacted] entered 227 Sullivan Place in Brooklyn, to seek warmth during their school lunch break. Det. Juan Jimenez, of the Sexual Offenders Monitoring Unit, who was off-duty at the time, observed them and believed he recognized them from security footage that captured the assault of his elderly father, [redacted]. Det. Jimenez pursued the students into 227 Sullivan Place where he allegedly told them get on the floor. He then drew his service weapon and allegedly aimed it at the back of [redacted] head, before aiming it at the other students (Allegation A – Abuse of Authority: [redacted] Allegation B - Abuse of Authority: [redacted] Allegation C – Abuse of Authority: [redacted] Allegation D – Abuse of Authority: [redacted] Allegation E – Abuse of Authority: [redacted] Allegation F - Force: [redacted] Allegation G - Force: [redacted] Allegation H - Force: [redacted] Allegation I - Force: [redacted] Allegation J - Force: [redacted]. At this time, he allegedly told the students to "Get the fuck on the floor," and when the students complied and began protesting Det. Jimenez's actions, he allegedly told them to "Shut the fuck up."
