On February 22, 2018, at approximately 10:21 p.m., [redacted] had an argument with her ex-boyfriend, [redacted] in his mother's, [redacted]s, home, located at [redacted] in Manhattan. [redacted] left the apartment.
Approximately ten minutes later, [redacted] returned and Police Officer Juan Carrero and Police Officer Joseph Musarra, both of PSA 6, ordered her to step away from the door. The officers allowed [redacted] to enter the apartment and collect some of her belongings. Inside the apartment, both officers allegedly threw [redacted] against the apartment wall, PO Carrero forcefully pushed her head against the wall, and PO Musarra handcuffed her (Allegations A and B: Force, [redacted]). The officers removed [redacted] from the apartment, PO Carrero allegedly dragged her guitar down the hallway causing damage to it, and both officers allegedly damaged her phone (Allegations C and D: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
