Summary

At approximately 6:10 a.m. on April 12, 2018, [redacted]'s son, [redacted] and [redacted]'s girlfriend, [redacted] were at [redacted]'s apartment, which is located at [redacted] in Brooklyn ([redacted] was not present at the time). While [redacted] was sleeping, [redacted] was getting ready to go to work and she heard what sounded to her to be people coming up the stairs outside of the apartment. [redacted] looked through the peephole on the front door and saw officers. While [redacted] was unlocking the front door, one of the officers, Detective Patrick Barry of the Emergency Services Unit, allegedly kicked the door open and it hit [redacted] in the face (Allegation A: Force, Other - [redacted]).
Approximately five officers entered the apartment, including Sergeant David Cheesewright of the Criminal Intelligence Section (Allegation B: Abuse of Authority, Entry -[redacted]). The officers pointed their firearms at [redacted] (within Allegation B) and placed handcuffs on her. The officers woke up [redacted] and placed handcuffs on him.
