On May 24, 2018, at approximately 5:00 p.m., [redacted] called 911 after a dispute with an employee of the store Metro PCS located at West 192nd Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan. PO Joshua Cumberbatch and PO Christina Whitehead, from the 34th Precinct, responded. Shortly after, Sgt. Zulfiqar Ahmed and PO Howard Peralta, from the 34th Precinct, also responded. Sgt. Ahmed asked [redacted] to leave the store but [redacted] refused. Sgt. Ahmed threatened to arrest (Allegation A: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]) [redacted] and to forcibly remove (Allegation B: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]) him if he refused to leave the store.
