On June 1, 2018, at approximately 2:00 a.m., [redacted] was at [redacted] the home of [redacted] with whom he has a child in common. [redacted] called the police and asked for [redacted] to be removed after [redacted] allegedly assaulted her and their [redacted]-old child [redacted]. PO Joseph Arbia, PO John Backer, PO Douglas Sheeler and PO Derek Theiss of the 101st Precinct responded to the apartment. PO Arbia used pepper spray against [redacted] (Allegation A - Force: [redacted]). PO Arbia and the other officers entered the apartment and handcuffed [redacted] (Allegation B – Abuse of Authority: [redacted]).
