On April 5, 2019, at approximately 10:30 a.m. the landlord of [redacted] in Manhattan, [redacted] along with her employees, went to [redacted]'s apartment. [redacted]'s [redacted] friend, [redacted] was in the apartment at the time and [redacted] instructed him to not let anyone inside. Once [redacted] denied [redacted] entry into the apartment, she called the police.
PO Jackson Fontana and PO John Oneill of the 6th Precinct responded. The officers told [redacted] they needed to let [redacted] enter. After presenting a court document, [redacted] allowed [redacted] and PO Fontana and PO Oneill inside (Allegations A and B, Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). While speaking to an unidentified officer [redacted] said, "Maybe it's because I'm black." An officer allegedly replied, "You people are always playing the race card" (Allegation C, Offensive Language, [redacted]). [redacted] arrived approximately 90 minutes after the officers entered the apartment.
