Summary

On September 11, 2019, at approximately 7 p.m., [redacted] entered the 40th Precinct stationhouse in the Bronx to inquire about his brother's arrest. The arresting officer, PO Salvador Cornejocastillo of the 40th Precinct, allegedly told [redacted] to wait by the gated area of the stationhouse while he completed the paperwork to void the arrest. Approximately 15-20 minutes later, PO Johnanthony Alexander of the 40th Precinct approached [redacted] and asked why [redacted] was waiting at the stationhouse. When PO Alexander discovered that [redacted] brother was an adult, PO Alexander told [redacted] he did not need to wait there. [redacted] was told to leave the stationhouse multiple times. [redacted] refused to leave the stationhouse voluntarily. PO Elbi Martines of the 40th Precinct and PO Alexander allegedly told [redacted] he was acting disorderly and could be arrested for trespass (Allegation A and B: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
Several officers, including PO Martines and Det. Christopher Villanueva of the 40th Precinct, escorted [redacted] out of the stationhouse by grabbing him by the arms (Allegation C and D: Force, [redacted]). [redacted] then stood outside the stationhouse and interacted with officers. PO Martines, PO Cornejocastillo, and other unidentified officers, used profanity with [redacted] (Allegation E and F: Discourtesy, [redacted]). Read report for details.
