Summary

On July 16, 2020, [redacted] was asleep in his apartment at [redacted] in Staten Island, when Detective Carlos Corporan, Detective Edgardo Diaz, and Detective Genaro Barreiro, all of Staten Island Warrants Squad, entered his apartment using a key (Allegations A, B, and C: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). Det. Diaz and Det. Corporan allegedly pointed their guns at [redacted] Is head (Allegations D and E: Force, [redacted]). All three officers performed a protective sweep of the apartment (Allegations F, G, and H: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]) and asked [redacted] about the whereabouts of two individuals they were looking for, [redacted] and [redacted]. [redacted] asked Det. Corporan for his name and another officer for their name and shield number, which both officers allegedly did not provide (Allegation I: Abuse of Authority, [redacted], Allegations J and K: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]).
