Summary

On the morning of May 22, 2021, [redacted] called 911 to report a dispute that she had with her landlord at her home at [redacted] in Manhattan. Police Officer Douglas Lopez of the 1st Precinct responded to the call. Police Officer Lopez told [redacted] to address her complaint in housing court. He then resumed patrol. At approximately 8:49 a.m., [redacted] contacted Police Officer Lopez via text message to discuss her dispute with her landlord. The two of them exchanged numerous text messages over the next few days.
