Further details on conclusions.
On June 4, 2022, at approximately 12:00 p.m., [redacted] had a physical dispute with one of his roommates, [redacted] at [redacted] in Brooklyn. Officers, including Police Officer Marina Genin and Police Officer Craig McGrath (both of the 62nd Precinct), responded after the roommate called 911. EMTs also responded to the apartment. PO Genin and a male EMT spoke with [redacted] in both English and Russian for nearly an hour. At one point, PO McGrath told [redacted] "I don't give a shit about what you think about United States law" (Allegation A, Discourtesy: Word, Substantiated), and that "If we get called back again, you're going to have to leave. You realize this, right? Whether it's to the hospital or in handcuffs" (Allegation B, Abuse of Authority: Threat of Arrest, Substantiated). PO Genin said, "It's fucking hot, excuse my language" (Allegation C, Discourtesy: Word, Substantiated). [redacted] called his building's landlord and attempted to convince the landlord to evict his roommate and PO Genin told [redacted] that he could be arrested for illegal eviction (Allegation D, Abuse of Authority: Threat of Arrest, Exonerated). The male EMT ultimately determined [redacted] to be having a "psychological emergency" and directed him to be removed to the hospital (Allegations E and F, Abuse of Authority: Forcible Removal to the Hospital, Exonerated). PO Genin accompanied [redacted] to [redacted] Hospital. Read report for details.
