Summary

On February 16, 2023, at around 2:30 p.m. or 4:15 p.m., [redacted] and five friends walked from the McDonalds on Grand Street to a corner store at the intersection of Humboldt Street and Maujer Street in Brooklyn. While [redacted] and his friends were standing outside the corner store, they saw an unmarked car with officers drive by. [redacted] believed he had seen the same car drive by the group as they left McDonalds. When the car drove by the group at the corner of Humboldt Street and Maujer Street again, one of [redacted] friends said "are y'all bored?" and the car stopped. Police Officer Jesse Trap, Police Officer Michael Crichlow, and Police Officer Beniquez – all of the 90th Precinct – got out of the car and approached the group. PO Trap walked up to [redacted] and pushed [redacted] right arm, which was in a sling, and pushed [redacted] against a gate (Allegation E: Force, [redacted]). While grabbing [redacted] arm with one hand, PO Trap used his other hand to grab [redacted] vest pockets (Allegations F-G: Abuse of Authority, [redacted]). PO Trap took a step back and then approached [redacted] again and touched his right arm and pushed him back against the gate (Allegation H: Force, [redacted]). PO Trap allegedly stretched [redacted] right hand, which was in a sling, open.
