On September 6, 2023, at approximately 10:14AM, Lieutenant Mariela Matosleo, Police Officer Edward Lam, and Police Officer Mateusz Kopec, and other officers from the 24th Precinct were conducting a vehicle checkpoint at Riverside Drive and West 95th Street in Manhattan.
