At approximately 7:15 p.m. on May 24, 2024, [redacted] and [redacted] were riding a motorcycle along the sidewalk next to Highland Boulevard, between Jamaica Avenue and Vermont Place, in Brooklyn. Police Officer David Teran, Police Officer Zachary Cachia and PO Ahmed Dar of the 75th Precinct were patrolling on Highland Boulevard in the opposite direction in a marked SUV. PO Teran was driving the vehicle. PO Teran drove his vehicle onto the sidewalk, striking the motorcycle (Allegations A and B: Force – Vehicle, substantiated). Both [redacted] and [redacted] were thrown from the motorcycle and suffered fractures. They were both hospitalized for their injuries. They were also placed under arrest (Board Review #01).
