Description: On January 3, 2013, the plaintiff, Patrizio Pasquale, was sitting in his home, which was in the first floor of a building with multiple housing units. The defendant officers arrived at the building, responding to a 911 call about a domestic incident on the second floor of the building. The defendants demanded Mr. Pasquale open his door, and when he refused and directed them to the upstairs apartment, they broke down his door. Despite not having any warrant, consent, or cause to enter Mr. Pasquale's apartment, the defendants entered and assaulted Mr. Pasquale, causing serious injuries that required his later being brought to the hospital.
