Description: On April 16, 2012, at 5 pm, Mr. Bishop, having just left his friend’s home on Sand Lane, Staten Island, began to walk home until a police vehicle pulled up beside him. Several officers, including Officer Le Ber, Officer John Doe 2, and Officer John Doe 3 got out of the vehicle and grabbed Mr. Bishop. The police officers proceeded to kick and punch Mr. Bishop about his body and scraped his face on the floor. Mr. Bishop was handcuffed, thrown in the police vehicle, taken to the 122nd precinct, and was subsequently charged with robbery and remanded on Rikers Island. On April 19, 2012, all charges against Mr. Bishop were dismissed.
