Complaint
Description: On August 26, 2010, POs Raul Muniz, Michael Buglione, George Duffy, and John and Jane Doe 1-5 (the names John and Jane Doe are fictitious, as the true names of these officers were unknown at the time of the complaint), without permission or a validly executed search warrant, entered Plaintiff’s residential building, allegedly looking for a weapon. The police officers falsely claimed that they had found contraband in the apartment, and arrested Plaintiff. Plaintiff was taken to the precinct, where he was strip searched. Plaintiff was eventually taken to Rikers Island, before he was released after six days in custody. Plaintiff’s criminal case was dismissed on February 22, 2011.
