Description: On December 21, 2022, Plaintiff went to the 33rd Precinct to file a complaint for an unrelated incident. In response, PO Yadimar Pena, Osvaldo Garcia, Grant Pulgarin, and John Does 1-4 assaulted Plaintiff by grabbing, tackling and throwing her to the floor, making racist and sexual statements to her, dragging her across the floor of the precinct, and smashing her body into desks in the lobby. Officers handcuffed Plaintiff too tightly and unlawfully arrested and searched her, despite Plaintiff's request a female officer conduct the search. $10,000 worth of property was removed from Plaintiff and never returned. Description: On July 2, 2022, Plaintiff was lawfully present in the hallway of his apartment building when Defendant Police Officers approached him without justification. They began to question him, when one of the Defendants suddenly grabbed Plaintiff, pushed him backwards, and slammed the back of his head into the door frame, causing Plaintiff to begin bleeding. Plaintiff was then placed in overly-tight handcuffs and physically dragged out of the building and into an ambulance. To drag Plaintiff, Defendants grabbed him by his dreadlocks (which are religiously significant to Plaintiff), tearing some of them out in the process.
