Description: Plaintiff, who is legally blind and speaks limited English, got into an altercation with someone on the street after accidentally walking into his dog's leash. The individuals assaulted Plaintiff and Police officers arrived on the scene, searched Plaintiff, took his phone, and did not call a translator. Plaintiff was arrested, brought to the 109th Precinct, and released with a DAT. Plaintiff tried to bring an interpreter back to file charges against the individuals and was ignored multiple times.

Description: Defendant Officers were called to the hospital on suspected child abuse after Plaintiff's daughter was hospitalized. For almost 24 hours, Plaintiff and her husband were subjected to multiple interrogations, searches of their home by three separate squads, and forensic interrogations.
