Complaint
Description: On September 25, 2016, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Pamela Davis was walking near 112th and 113th Streets and First Avenue in Manhattan when NYPD Officer Joseph King approached her. Officer King grabbed Ms. Davis’s arm, ordered her to stop, and reached into her bag without her consent. He took her identification, returned to his patrol van, and after some time issued her a summons for disorderly conduct. Ms. Davis was required to appear in court twice before the summons was dismissed on January 5, 2017. She alleges false arrest, malicious prosecution, and emotional harm as a result of the officer’s actions.
