Description: On August 8, 2023, plaintiff was walking down the street in Queens when he was followed by defendant NYPD John Doe officers who were driving an unmarked van. The van then struck plaintiff while he was crossing the street, causing him serious injuries. Defendant NYPD Officers Jason Levy, Brian Ritto, Ramon Garica, and several John Doe officers then approached plaintiff and jumped on him, punched him, and handcuffed him, before takinig him into custody in a nearby precinct. Plaintiff was taken to a hospital and treated overnight, before he was arraigned and released the next day.
