Description: On February 15, 2019, Plaintiffs were lawfully in their residence when police officers arrived. The Plaintiffs did not commit any crime, however, all four Plaintiffs were placed under arrest. During the course of the arrest, the officers damaged property inside the apartment including mirrors, doors, beds, and a television. Additionally, officers took five hundred dollars in cash, a gold chain, and other merchandise from the apartment. The Plaintiffs were never compensated for the damage or the stolen property. Three of the four Plaintiffs were never prosecuted and were released after about 36 hours.
