Complaint
Description: On August 9, 2023, plaintiff was stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, and battered by defendant-officers, including Officer Sachely Gonzalez. Plaintiff sustained multiple injuries arising from this encounter. Defendant officers performed their actions pursuant to the City of New York's and NYPD's "Stop, Question, and Frisk" policy. Subsequently, defendant officers detained plaintiff. While in defendants' custody, plaintiff was subject to an unlawful and unjustified strip search. Plaintiff was arraigned and remained incarcerated for over 24 hours. All charges were terminated in favor of the plaintiff.
