Description: On May 2, 2020, Plaintiff Oswald Hepburn was standing outside his sister's residence when NYPD officers were called to a nearby location to disperse a crowd. After Plaintiff's sister complained about the treatment of people in the crowd within earshot of NYPD officers from her doorway, Defendant Officers Lt. Bobo, Sgt. Musa, PO Aponte, and John Doe 1-4 rushed towards the home. Plaintiff was standing outside, and Lt. Bobo immediately grabbed him. Lt. Bobo, Sgt. Musa, PO Aponte, PO Chekalin, and John Doe 1-4 then forcefully threw Plaintiff on the ground, and then Sgt. Musa tased Plaintiff on the neck. Description: On 1/22/20, plaintiff Lamar Mack was in the vicinity of Saratoga Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, County of Kings, City and State of New York. Officers Aponte, Mcevoy, Doe, and Roe, among others, with no reasonable cause or legal justification, and based on fraud, perjury and misrepresentations, summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained the plaintiff. Plaintiff alleges that he was arrested in an excessive manner and with excessive force, subject to a strip search, and subject to malicious assault and battery. Plaintiff also alleges that the CITY and NYPD are responsible for this culture and practice which resulted in him being deprived of his due process constitutional rights.
