Description: On or about December 5, 2018, detectives/police officers Jason Barr and Patrick Agugliaro illegally stopped and searched Eric Smith's car. The officers falsely claimed that Smith did not follow the stop sign. The two detectives along with two more officers John Doe and Jane Doe then maliciously fabricated police reports and falsely charged him with possession of weapon. This fabrication of evidence has caused Smith's prosecution to continue without good cause and has caused Smith emotional distress, actual damage, and deprivation of personal liberty.

Description: On August 10, 2011, plaintiff as present in Queens County when defendant police officers entered plaintiff's residence without his consent. Defendants ransacked the apartment and found no contraband. Plaintiff was arrested despite the fact that defendants had no probable cause to do so. Plaintiff was held in custody at the precinct for 40 hours. Plaintiff had to make 25 court appearances to defend himself, and all charges were eventually dismissed.
