Description: On July 15, 2010, Plaintiffs Deirde and Kenya Myers (her 15 year old daughter) were sitting on their steps when a car fleeing police came to a stop on the street in front of their house. After the driver ran away and was pursued by police, Plaintiffs joined others who were standing near the abandoned car. The Plaintiffs could see cash, cigarettes and other items through the open door. While standing there, three NYPD officers approached Plaintiffs from behind with guns drawn and told them to get on the ground. Plaintiffs were handcuffed and held in front of their neighbors.
